Technology
Ghostfolio is a modern web application written in TypeScript and organized as an Nx workspace.
Frontend
The frontend is built with Angular.
Backend
The backend is based on NestJS using PostgreSQL as a database and Redis for caching.
Getting Started
Prerequisites
Setup
- Run
yarn install
- Run
cd docker
- Run
docker compose build
- Run
docker compose up -d
to start PostgreSQL and Redis - Run
yarn setup:database
to initialize the database schema and populate your database with (example) data - Start server and client (see Development)
- Login as Admin with the following Security Token:

Development
Start server
- Debug: Run
yarn watch:server
and click "Launch Program" in Visual Studio Code - Serve: Run
