<p>In Sonarr, you can tell that MULTi in an indexer means that a release possesses at least certain audio. For the purpose of this guide, you will select <code>Original</code> and <code>French</code>.
This option should only be used for French indexers. Doing so in more "international" indexers can create false positives with the French Audio CFs.</p>
<p>If you do not see the option, it is because you need to activate the "Advanced Options" of Sonarr.</p>

<li>You prefer to have both VFF and VFQ, known as VF2 audio; in this case, you will score VF2 at <code>101</code> and keep the others at <code>0</code> (default).</li>
<li>You prefer VFF over VFQ; in this case, you will score VFF and VF2 at <code>101</code>, set VFI to <code>0</code> (default), and VFQ to <code>-101</code>.</li>
<li>You prefer VFQ over VFF; in this case you will score VFQ and VF2 at <code>101</code>, set VFI to <code>0</code> (default), and VFF to <code>-101</code>.</li>
<li>You absolutely do not want VQ audio; in this case, you will set it to <code>-10000</code>.</li>
<p>It has been proven that raising the score of an audio to more than <code>101</code> (except for <code>VOSTFR</code>) has a higher chance to lead to download loops and therefore is not recommended.
Similarly, lowering the score of an audio to less than <code>-101</code> (unless absolutely not wanted as in the example) has a higher chance to lead to download loops and therefore is not recommended.</p>

<p>All the used scores and combinations of Custom Formats in this Guide are tested to get the desired results while preventing download loops as much as possible.</p>
<p>From experience, most of the time when people change scores or leave out certain CFs that work together - they end up with undesired results.</p>

<li><strong>BR-DISK :</strong> This is a custom format to help Sonarr recognize & ignore BR-DISK (ISO's and Blu-ray folder structure) in addition to the standard BR-DISK quality.</li>
<li><strong>LQ:</strong> A collection of known low-quality groups that are often banned from the top trackers due to their releases' lack of quality or other reasons.</li>
<li><strong>LQ (Release Title):</strong> A collection of terms seen in the titles of low-quality releases that are not captured by using a release group name.</li>
<li><strong>FR LQ:</strong> A collection of known low-quality French groups that are often banned from the top trackers due to their releases' lack of quality or other reasons.</li>
<pclass="admonition-title">If you have also added <ahref="/Sonarr/sonarr-collection-of-custom-formats/#x265-no-hdrdv"rel="noopener noreferrer"target="_blank">x265 (no HDR/DV)</a> to your Sonarr,<br>then one of them should be scored as <code>0</code> in your quality profile.</p>
<p>Those Custom Formats are optionals and allow to know which type of FanSubs your releases have. Only the <code>FastSub</code> is not wanted as it is often done too quickly and are often not well done. If you do not want FanSub either you should also score it to -10000.</p>
<p><code>Media Management</code> =><code>File Management</code> to <code>Do Not Prefer</code> and use the <ahref="/Sonarr/sonarr-collection-of-custom-formats/#repackproper">Repack/Proper</a> Custom Format.</p>
<li><strong>Bad Dual Groups:</strong> [<em>Optional</em>] These groups take the original release and add their own language track (e.g. AAC 2.0 Portuguese) as the first track. Afterward, FFprobe would determine that the media file is Portuguese. It's a common rule that you only add the best audio as the main track.
Also they often even rename the release name into Portuguese.</li>
<li><strong>No-RlsGroup:</strong> [<em>Optional</em>] Some indexers strip out the release group which could result in LQ groups being scored incorrectly. For example, a lot of EVO releases end up with a stripped group name. These releases would appear as "upgrades" and could end up getting a decent score after other CFs are scored.</li>
<li><strong>Obfuscated:</strong> [<em>Optional</em>] Use these only if you wish to avoid renamed releases.</li>
<li><strong>Retags:</strong> [<em>Optional</em>] Use this if you wish to avoid retagged releases. Retagged releases often are not consistent with the quality of the original group's release (e.g. TGx downsampling an NTb release from 5.1 audio to 2.0 audio, yet maintaining the NTb naming).</li>
<li><strong>Scene:</strong> [<em>Optional</em>] Use this only if you want to avoid SCENE releases.</li>
</ul>

<summary>French Streaming Services - [Click to show/hide]</summary>
<li><strong>AUViO/RTBF</strong>: Auvio is a catch-up TV, video-on-demand and podcasting platform owned by RTBF. The RTBF (or Radio-télévision belge de la Communauté française) is a public service broadcaster delivering radio and television services to the French-speaking Community of Belgium, in Wallonia and Brussels.</li>
<li><strong>MyCANAL/CANAL+</strong>: MyCANAL is the streaming service of Canal+ (Canal Plus, sometimes abbreviated C+ or Canal), a French premium television channel launched in 1984. The channel broadcasts several kinds of programming, mostly encrypted. The channel does not broadcast advertising, except when broadcasting on free-to-air slots. Almost all foreign films and series are broadcast in their original language with French subtitles.</li>
<li><strong>SALTO</strong>: Salto (stylized as SⱯLTO) is a French subscription streaming service. A joint venture between France Télévisions, the TF1 Group and the Groupe M6, it was launched on October 20, 2020.</li>
<p>Note: The <code>Advanced Audio</code> Custom Formats aren't used in the profile, as WEB-DL do not often come with HD audio (most newer WEB-DL will have lossy Atmos, though). If you want HD audio, we would suggest going with Remuxes.</p>

<p><strong>Why would I choose All HDR formats ?</strong></p>

<p>You have a 4K/2160p TV and a hardware media player device (such as Roku, AppleTV, Shield, SmartTV App, etc.) that supports several HDR formats (such as Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, etc.).</p>

<pclass="admonition-title">Plex for Apple TV and Plex with Infuse is only capable of playing Dolby Vision profiles 5 and 8 correctly if CMv2.9 is being used.<br>This is something that cannot be determined beforehand.<br>So whether you are using an Apple TV, with or without Infuse, it will always be hit or miss whether the content is compatible.<br>Additionally, it is uncertain whether the Dolby Vision layer will play, fall back to HDR10, or encounter a black screen.</p>

<summary>Why am I getting purple or green colors? - [Click to show/hide]</summary>
<p>Why am I getting purple or green colors?</p>
<p>There are several possible reasons why your TV would show purple or green colors when playing Dolby Vision content.</p>
<ol>
<li>
<p><strong>Unsupported Hardware</strong>: Your TV or hardware media player device (Roku, AppleTV, etc) doesn't support Dolby Vision or your hardware media player device doesn't support all the Dolby Vision Profiles. As a result, the device might struggle to produce accurate colors, leading to a purple or green tint.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Incorrect Display Settings</strong>: Dolby Vision content often requires specific settings to be enabled on your TV or display device in order to deliver the intended visual experience. If these settings are not configured properly, it can result in the device showing distorted colors (including purple or green hues).</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>HDMI Compatibility Issues</strong>: Sometimes, HDMI cables or ports may not be fully compatible with Dolby Vision. If the media player device is not recognizing the Dolby Vision signal properly, it may fail to process the content correctly, resulting in abnormal color rendering.</p>
</li>
</ol>
<p>To resolve the purple or green color issues when playing Dolby Vision content, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:</p>
<ol>
<li>Ensure your TV or hardware media player device is Dolby Vision compatible and up-to-date with the latest firmware.</li>
<li>Verify that your TV or display device is set up correctly and has the necessary Dolby Vision settings enabled.</li>
<li><strong>Profile 5</strong><sup>(<em>1</em>)</sup> - This is what comes with WEB-DL Dolby Vision releases without HDR10 fallback.<br>(<em>Incompatible devices will playback with blown out pinks and greens</em>)</li>
<li><strong>Profile 7</strong><sup>(<em>2</em>)</sup> - This is what comes with UHD Bluray Remuxes and UHD BluRay releases.<br><em>These files will play on an Nvidia Shield Pro (2019), but on most other players will revert to the HDR10 fallback.</em></li>
<li><strong>Profile 8</strong><sup>(<em>3</em>)</sup> - This is what comes with (Hybrid) WEB-DL (HULU), Hybrid UHD Remux, and UHD BluRay releases (all of which have HDR10 fallback).<br><em>This works with several mainstream media players.</em><br></li>

<summary>Dolby Vision Versions - CMv2.9 and CMv4.0 - [Click to show/hide]</summary>

<pclass="admonition-title">It is too technical to explain in detail, so I'll keep it short with tested facts: <br>PLEX for AppleTV and Plex with Infuse only support CMv2.9.</p>
<p>There are two versions of Dolby Vision, namely CMv2.9 and CMv4.0. CMv4.0 uses an improved algorithm and a superior tone curve, allowing for better mapping and more controls during the Dolby Vision trim pass process.</p>

<pclass="admonition-title">UHD Streaming Boost and UHD Streaming Cut Custom Formats</p>

<p>Some streaming services have UHD releases that are generally better or worse than their HD counterparts. The UHD Streaming Boost and UHD Streaming Cut custom formats adjust those streaming services' scores appropriately for UHD releases.</p>
<p>These two custom formats must be included in your profile for UHD releases to be scored correctly.</p>
<li><strong>Bad Dual Groups:</strong> [<em>Optional</em>] These groups take the original release and add their own language track (e.g. AAC 2.0 Portuguese) as the first track. Afterward, FFprobe would determine that the media file is Portuguese. It's a common rule that you only add the best audio as the main track.
Also they often even rename the release name into Portuguese.</li>
<li><strong>No-RlsGroup:</strong> [<em>Optional</em>] Some indexers strip out the release group which could result in LQ groups being scored incorrectly. For example, a lot of EVO releases end up with a stripped group name. These releases would appear as "upgrades" and could end up getting a decent score after other CFs are scored.</li>
<li><strong>Obfuscated:</strong> [<em>Optional</em>] Use these only if you wish to avoid renamed releases.</li>

<li><strong>MyCANAL/CANAL+</strong>: MyCANAL is the streaming service of Canal+ (Canal Plus, sometimes abbreviated C+ or Canal), a French premium television channel launched in 1984. The channel broadcasts several kinds of programming, mostly encrypted. The channel does not broadcast advertising, except when broadcasting on free-to-air slots. Almost all foreign films and series are broadcast in their original language with French subtitles.</li>
<li><strong>SALTO</strong>: Salto (stylized as SⱯLTO) is a French subscription streaming service. A joint venture between France Télévisions, the TF1 Group and the Groupe M6, it was launched on October 20, 2020.</li>

<p>Those are the original scoring from the Anime Guide and need to be followed depending what you want to achieve. It will unsure that if a VOSTFR or MULTi releases is not found you will still have a good quality releases:</p>

<li><ahref="/Sonarr/sonarr-setup-quality-profiles-anime/#uncensored-scoring"rel="noopener noreferrer"target="_blank">Uncensored Scoring</a>: If you prefer uncensored releases.</li>

<li><strong>ADN</strong>: Animation Digital Network, abbreviated ADN, formerly Anime Digital Network, is a VoD and simulcast platform born from the merger between KZPlay, belonging to Kazé, and Genzai, belonging to Kana Home Video, with the theme of broadcasting series and features Japanese and Franco-Belgian animated films.</li>
<li><strong>WKN</strong> (<em>or Wakanim</em>): Wakanim was a French subscription video on-demand streaming service owned by U.S.-based Funimation. The service was specialized in the online streaming and simulcasting of Japanese anime series. It was also the first company to offer videos for download without digital rights management on anime series in Europe. The service was consolidated into Crunchyroll in March 2022.</li>
<p>French Scene groups are included and should always be added, as some of the biggest releasers of French subbed and/or dubbed content are from the French Scene.</p>
<p>FanSUB groups can be scored either 1450 (default) or <code>1000</code>, depending on whether you prefer FanSUB or SeaDex releases.</p>
<p>If you want the VOSTFR profile to also accept MULTI releases when no VOSTFR release is available, you need to set the value of <ahref="/Sonarr/sonarr-collection-of-custom-formats/#language-original-french">Language: Original + French</a> to <code>0</code> instead of <code>-10000</code></p>
